Open Market CRE is a full-service, highly specialized, commercial real estate firm that believes in opening markets, not closing them. We subscribe to the philosophy that marketing to the widest possible audience attracts more quality activity that leads to better outcomes for our clients. Through market-wide collaboration, buyers can find our listed opportunities with ease thereby increasing the odds of a successful acquisition and disposition for everyone involved.

So much of the commercial real estate universe operates in a silo, not actively sharing their listed opportunities with the outside world. Our primary focus is to break down traditional barriers to entry and collaborate with the entirety of the Open Market and build a brand that allows for highly targeted information flow achieving the best possible outcomes and leaving nothing to chance.

Our philosophy of taking the broadest possible, market driven approach opens markets and connects dots that might not otherwise be available in a traditionally closed way of doing business. Steven Paulsen

Steven Paulsen is the Broker of Record for Open Market CRE and Commercial Real Estate Veteran of 20 years. His vision for opening markets to all participants is the driving force behind development of the platform for the firm. Collaboration is an often-overused term in the broader commercial real estate space. Mister Paulsen has witnessed this firsthand having spent time at the nation’s largest private equity investment sales firms. It is a guiding principle for the firm that the current CRE model is ripe for disruption and the Open Market CRE is different by engaging the largest possible buyer pool of any firm through absolute collaboration.

Leading teams and educating newer to the business investment sales associates is certainly a passion for Steven Paulsen. He is known in the industry as being highly skilled with technical abilities beyond most that will assist clients in achieving their portfolio goals. Servicing private equity investment clients is foundational to everything that Open Market CRE does. Whether the client is moving into tax advantaged opportunities or moving out of commercial real estate altogether, the Open Market CRE platform is the key to client success.

In his time away from the business, Steven Paulsen spends time either on the sandbars in the beautiful waters of South Florida or you might find him in the NC mountains hiking and taking in the nature’s finest offerings. He is an avid believer that taking time with family is paramount to a happy, healthy lifestyle.

Open Market collaboration is our firm’s “Why” and rooted in real world commercial real estate activities.   Our Founder & CEO is a Broker of twenty years having held strategic roles in the real estate industry including those at publicly traded national firms as well as those in the more entrepreneurial private sector. With early roots in residential real estate, that value creation model of collaboration with all brokers continually maximizes exposure for both sellers and buyers thereby creating market driven results.

Can you imagine a world where a residential real estate professional would list a property for sale and NOT include the property in the multiple listing service?

All too often we see commercial real estate brokerages hide behind artificial walls they create for themselves out of fear that they will not have the opportunity to sell their own listing. This focus on double ending the commission can come at great cost for both the buyer and the seller.
